I was awarded a PhD from Deakin University in 2002. Between 2002-2008 I was employed as a lecturer in psychology at the University of Ballarat. Since 2009 I have work at ACU Melbourne where I am the National Course Coordinator for the undergraduate and honours courses in psychology. My main teaching errors teach introductory psychology, cognitive psychology, research methods and statistics. Broadly, my research interests are in the areas of Social Cognitive, Evolutionary Psychology and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Currently I am investigating the effects of resources scarcity on attitudes and behaviour from an evolutionary psychology perspective. In the area of scholarship of teaching and learnings, I am researching the best practice in providing assignment feedback to students and examining how to academic can support students with mental health concerns.
