Additional information

Politics as a teaching area examines the ideas, institutions and practices that shape power, governance and public decision‑making at local, national and global levels. It develops students’ understanding of political systems, democratic processes, public policy, and international relations, while fostering critical analysis of contemporary political issues. Through engagement with theory, evidence and real‑world case studies, students build skills in critical thinking, research, ethical reasoning and informed argument, preparing them to participate thoughtfully in civic life and to apply political knowledge in professional, policy and community contexts.
