Food Technology prepares you to teach students about food, nutrition, health and sustainable food practices in meaningful and engaging ways. You will develop the knowledge and pedagogical skills needed to teach food preparation, food systems, consumer choices and contemporary food issues. Through this teaching area, you will learn how to create practical learning experiences that help students make informed decisions about nutrition, wellbeing and food production while developing critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.
