Additional information

The Dance teaching area prepares preservice teachers to plan, teach and assess engaging and inclusive dance learning experiences. Dance is explored as an embodied art form through which students express ideas, communicate meaning and develop creativity.

Preservice teachers develop knowledge of key concepts, including the elements of body, action, space, time and dynamics, and apply these within curriculum contexts. The teaching area emphasises culturally responsive and inclusive pedagogies, enabling graduates to support diverse learners and create meaningful learning in primary and secondary classrooms.
