EFTSL value of units : All 10cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a credit point (cp) value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed:

  1. An Australian Year 12 certificate or equivalent
  2. Entry via an alternative pathway as approved for ACU

Completion requirements

To qualify for the award, a student must complete 40 cp from General Education units (Part A).

Other requirements

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Adviser. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Adviser.

Progression requirements

Units studied in this course, other than the units studied to meet prerequisite requirements, can be used for credit in the relevant Initial Teacher Education course.

    Students in Queensland or Victoria who are planning to study a teaching course and have not met prerequisite requirements in English are recommended to study this unit.

  • EDMA115Foundations of Mathematics and Numeracy10 CP

    Students in Queensland or Victoria who are planning to study a teaching course and have not met prerequisite requirements in Mathematics are recommended to study this unit.

  • EDAR150Teaching The Arts: Dance and Drama10 CP
  • EDCU150Curriculum Foundations for Literacy and Numeracy10 CP

    Students who need to study EDLA115 or EDMA115 must complete the prerequisite unit prior to studying EDCU150

  • EDEN100Foundations of Literacy10 CP

    Students who need to study EDLA115 or EDMA115 must complete the prerequisite unit prior to studying EDEN100

  • EDES100Understanding Learning and Teaching10 CP

  • select other units in consultation with the Course Adviser for the degree to which they are seeking entry

  • enrol in a Diploma in Liberal Arts
