EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
Admission requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy that includes meeting a minimum ATAR requirement.
International students must meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy .
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

Completion requirements
To qualify for the award, a student must complete 240 cp consisting of:
- 120 cp from Youth Work specified units (Part A)
- 30 cp from Sociology units (Part B)
- 20 cp from Core Curriculum units (Part C)
- 30 cp from Practicum units (Part D)
- 40 cp from Electives OR 40 cp from Mental Health and Society minor (Part E)
Exit points
Students who have successfully completed 40 cp of Youth Work units may exit with the Non-Award Certificate in Youth Work.
Students who have successfully completed 80 cp of Youth Work units may exit with the Diploma in Youth Studies.
Progression requirements
Students must adhere to the prescribed unit enrolment pattern outlined in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless they obtain approval from the Course Adviser. Throughout their academic journey, the Course Adviser will provide guidance on all aspects of course progression.
