Note:
To complete the program in 4 years, students must take some units in the Winter and Summer study periods.
No Semester 2 intake.
EFTSL value of units : All 10cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a credit point (cp) value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
Admission requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy which includes meeting a minimum ATAR requirement.
In addition, applicants will be required to demonstrate suitability for teaching as evidenced by completion of the relevant State assessment which will be provided in the application process.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level or equivalent:

Completion requirements
To qualify for the award, a student must complete 400 cp comprising:
a. 140 cp from Psychology Specified units from the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Part A)
b. 20 cp from Core Curriculum units (Part B)
c. 20 cp from Undergraduate Education units (Part C)
d. 40 cp for a Minor in Health Science or Arts units (Part D)
e. 10 cp from Psychology Community Engagement unit (Part E)
f. 10 cp from Psychology Elective units (Part F)
g. 160 cp from the Master of Teaching (Primary) units (Part G)
h. 0 cp from ACER Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education units (Part H)
Other requirements
Additional Approvals
All students enrolled must have the appropriate approvals before they may enter a classroom. In New South Wales it is the Working with Children Check.
Students must pass all professional experience components, including professional experience embedded within units and must fulfil the discipline-specific requirements for professional experience (e.g., minimum days in particular educational settings).
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide unless otherwise approved by the Course Adviser. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Adviser.

A student who has completed the following requirements may exit the course with that qualification. Note that none of these qualifications will lead to teacher registration.

Progression requirements
All Bachelor of Psychological Science requirements must be met before the commencement of any units in the Master of Teaching (Primary).
