Admission requirements

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

Definition
A Minor is 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at 100-level and at least 20 cp at 200- or 300-level.
Completion requirements
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 170 cp from specified units (Part A)
- 40 cp from 1 Arts Minor units or Elective units (Part B)
- 30 cp from Core Curriculum and Community Engagement units (Part C)
Other requirements
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
Exit points
Students who have met the requirements of the non-award course Certificate in Liberal Studies and Diploma in Liberal Arts can exit with that award.
Progression requirements
Unless otherwise specified, students must complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence. Any additional prerequisites for individual units are shown in brackets after the unit in the Schedule of Unit Offerings.
