Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit examines the diverse voices and concerns in theology after the Second Vatican Council. It focuses on the synthetic dimension of theological proposals that integrate the various tasks of theology (eg exegetical, historical, anthropological, dialectical and foundational, doctrinal, systematic, and communicative) in applying theology to contemporary concerns and questions of social justice. Emphasis is given to the ongoing development of theological understanding of the Christian Mysteries, and the distinct methods that support and interpret this development.
