EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

Admission requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must :

a. have completed a Bachelor of Nursing degree (or higher); OR have completed the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or the Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent;

AND

b. provide written confirmation from their employer that they are employed in a mental health service.

Completion requirements

To qualify for the degree of Master of Mental Health Nursing, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings comprising:

a. For Project Stream:

  1. 40 cp from Mental Health Nursing Units (Part A);
  2. 60 cp from Project Stream Units (Part B)
  3. 20 cp from Elective Units (Part C).

OR

b. For Research Stream:

  1. 40 cp from Mental Health Nursing Units (Part A);
  2. 80 cp from Research Stream Units (Part D).

Progression requirements

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progression through this course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
