EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

Admission requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Health Professional Education, an applicant must:

  1. have completed either a Bachelor degree in a health discipline or equivalent; OR
  2. have completed either the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education, Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education, Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education or the Graduate Diploma in Health Professional Education; AND
  3. have completed at least one year of clinical or work experience prior to admission.

Completion requirements

To qualify for the degree of Master of Health Professional Education, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 110 cp from Specified Units (Part A);
  2. 10 cp from Elective Units (Part B)

Exit points

A student who has completed the following requirements from the specialisations in the Schedule of Unit Offerings may exit with the relevant award:

  1. Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education: 40 cp from Specified Units in Schedule of Unit Offerings for that award;
  2. Graduate Diploma in Health Professional Education: 80 cp from Specified Units in the Schedule of Unit Offerings for that award

Progression requirements

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progression through this course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
