Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit is a response to the urgent need for students to wrestle with the dynamics of power and authority as they seek to bring their theological perspectives into close alignment with how they exercise leadership. Appropriating philosophical enquiry and insights from the social sciences, students explore the elements and potential abuses of pastoral leadership. Overall, the unit introduces students to central issues that equip them to engage in ethical leadership.
