EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

Admission requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed a Bachelor degree, completed not less than three years previously, and professional experience in business or health care.

Completion requirements

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 20 cp from Core Units (Part A);
  2. 100 cp from Elective Units (Part B).

A candidate who has:

  1. completed postgraduate studies in ethics or the equivalent; and
  2. at least three years’ relevant experience;

may be eligible for advanced standing.

Exit points

The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Applied Ethics) is available only as an exit point from the Master’s degree.

A student who has completed the following requirements may exit from the course with the Graduate Diploma in Arts (Applied Ethics):

80 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 20 cp from Core Units;
  2. 60 cp from Elective Units.
