Unit rationale, description and aim

The choice of sampling strategies in different types of investigations and their validity and reliability are examined. Statistical packages for the analysis of environmental data and geographic information systems software as a tool for the integration of textual and spatiallyreferenced data are applied in a variety of environmental investigations.
