Teaching organisation

This is the second of two core Research units in the Master of Education (Research); Master of Educational Leadership and Master of Contemporary Literacies.

Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit extends learning outcomes achieved in EDRS658 and enables students to prepare a research proposal at Masters Level. The unit is designed to help students to clearly identify a researchable problem and generate feasible research questions. It is designed to help students understand the complexity of educational practices and the need to consider various research approaches to explore problems of interest. Students will extend their understanding of different research methodologies in order to select appropriate research methods for their questions. Material will include an in-depth consideration of methods not already covered in EDRS658 Evidence in Contemporary Education.
