EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

Admission requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have:

a. A Bachelor degree in health or related helping discipline[1];

or

A Graduate Certifcate in Family and Systemic Therapy

A Graduate Diploma in Family and Systemic Therapy

and

b. A minimum of 2 years experience in counselling, therapy or clinical work with individuals or families;

and

c. Been selected for study through an interview process.



Completion requirements

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 120 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 80 cp from Specified Core Units (Part A); and
  2. 40 cp from Supervision Units (Part B);

Exit points

A student who has completed the following requirements from the specialisations in the Schedule of Unit Offerings may exit with the relevant award:

a. Graduate Certificate in Family and Systemic Therapy: 40 cp from Core Units;

b. Graduate Diploma in Family and Systemic Therapy: 80 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings.
