Join us on the road to Santiago De Compostela from 1st October - 9th October 2024.

We are pleased to announce that our 2024 ACU Pilgrimage will be the Camino walk in Spain to Santiago de Compostela. Get caught up in all the excitement and atmosphere of the Camino de Santiago as you join the French Way for the final stage from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. Get those walking boots on and backpacks ready!

Since the 10th century pilgrims have walked from all over Europe to the Cathedral of St James at Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain. Follow in the footsteps of millions of pilgrims who have completed this walk to honour the traditional home of the remains of St James.

This 9 day, 8-night guided pilgrimage includes 6 days of structured walking for a total of 120 km. You will have an opportunity to explore Santiago de Compostela, Muzia, Finesterra and many other historical sites, cities, and towns on route. Along the way you will be immersed in the culture, art, spirituality, history, and architecture of Spain. Enjoy the incredible hospitality of the locals and the beautiful Spanish cuisine and wine as you stride through the countryside with a full support team. At the end of the walk, you will receive your Compostela Certificate.

To keep this event community focused, numbers are strictly limited to 15 pilgrims and open to ACU staff, their family and friends. To register your expression of interest and for further information email Catherine Le Mottee, Senior Advisor, Policy and Projects, Office of the Vice President at catherine.lemottee@acu.edu.au or phone 02 9739 2716. Get in early as this is an experience that you won't want to miss!
