Spread some Christmas cheer to people experiencing disadvantage by donating gifts.

Campus Ministry have partnered with local community organisations at each campus to ensure our donations meet specific community needs. Find out what’s needed in your community below and have an impact this Christmas.

Ballarat

Items collected at the Ballarat campus will be donated to Child and Family Services Ballarat (Cafs) which support anyone who needs assistance through a range of comprehensive and innovative support programs.  Christmas present gift tags for children will be hanging on the Christmas Tree in the Carn Brea Staff Room, indicating the ages and gender of children for whom you can purchase a gift for.  Purchased gifts will then need to be returned to the Christmas Tree or to the Campus Ministry Office.

We are collecting donations from 1 November to 2 December 2022.
Community and Family Services Ballarat have specifically requested gift cards for children.

Blacktown

Items collected at the North Sydney campus will be donated to the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) who provide services and support to refugees, internally displaced people, people seeking asylum and other forcibly displaced people.

We are collecting donations from 21 November to 14 December 2022.

Jesuit Refugee Service have a specific need for toiletries and essential household items: 

  • Laundry liquid (1L-2L)
  • Dishwashing liquid (500ml - 1L)
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Deodorant
  • Razors
  • Shaving Cream
  • Soap (packs or individual bars)
  • Sanitary pads (not tampons)

Please bring your donations to the following location:

Items collected at the Brisbane campus will be donated to The Romero Centre who provide individualised, culturally sensitive and responsive case coordination services for people seeking asylum.

We are collecting donations from 21 November to 16 December 2022.

The Romero Centre have specifically requested:

  • Oil
  • Honey and jam 
  • Coffee and tea
  • Long life milk
  • Red beans
  • Tuna
  • Lentils
  • Chickpeas
  • Coconut milk
  • Laundry powder

Items collected at the Canberra campus will be donated to Canberra City Care who provides practical help for people experiencing financial hardship.

We are collecting donations from 14 November to 15 December 2022.

Canberra City Care has specifically requested food items that can be included in a Christmas Hamper, or donated to their walk-in pantry. These items are:

  • Cans of Tuna
  • Tuna Bake Sauce (375g jar)
  • Bean Mix (400g tin)
  • Gravy (small packet or tin)
  • Pasta Sauce (375g jar)
  • Vegetable Mix (400g tin)
  • Shortbread (Christmas themed tin)
  • Juice
  • Tube of Chips
  • Bonbons 
  • Savoury Crackers

Items collected at the Melbourne campus will be donated to Exodus Community who provide support to people in the local community of one of the poorest suburbs in Melbourne.

We are collecting donations from 21 November to 16 December 2022.

Exodus Community have specifically requested:

  • Savoury items / Nuts
  • Sweets / Chocolates
  • Gifts for Youth (12-20)
  • Gifts for children (2-11)
  • Nuts
  • Canned fruit
  • Drinks
  • Supermarket vouchers
  • Toiletry gift packs

Please visit the Giving Tree located at Concierge and choose the gift tag of what you intend to purchase. Attach the tag to the gift when returning to the donation points at any of the following locations:
