Overview

This teaching area prepares preservice teachers to teach Religious Education in primary settings, with a focus on Catholic traditions. Develops knowledge of theology, curriculum and pedagogy, and skills to design inclusive learning, support faith development, and contribute to the educational and spiritual life of school communities.

Completion requirements

Students in the

  • Bachelor of Education (Primary), Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) - 360 cp version and Bachelor of Education (Primary and Secondary) - 360 cp version must complete:
  • 40 cp of Religious Education discipline units (Part A)
  • 20 cp of Religious Education Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment (CPA) units (Part B)


Complete exactly 40 credit points from the following:

Complete exactly 20 credit points from the following:
