Overview

Media as a teaching area equips preservice teachers with the knowledge and skills to help students critically analyse, create, and interpret media texts across digital, print, and multimodal platforms. It explores how media shapes identities, cultures, values, and public discourse, while developing practical skills in media production and ethical digital participation. Teachers of Media support students to become informed, creative, and critical users and producers of media in an increasingly complex and media‑rich world.
