Overview

Industrial Technology prepares you to teach students how materials, tools and technologies are used to design, produce and evaluate products that meet real-world needs. You will develop the knowledge and pedagogical skills needed to teach practical and project-based learning in areas such as engineering, manufacturing, design and production technologies. Through this teaching area, you will learn how to engage students in creative problem-solving, safe workshop practices and hands-on learning experiences that build technical capability, innovation and confidence. Students are encouraged to apply design thinking and practical skills to create solutions while developing an understanding of contemporary industry practices.
