The Society and Culture Teaching Area equips future teachers with the knowledge and skills to help students understand how people, communities, and institutions interact and shape the world around them. It explores social structures, cultural diversity, identity, and the forces that influence change within societies. Through a blend of theory and practical approaches, this area prepares pre‑service teachers to foster critical thinking, empathy, and active citizenship in their classrooms, supporting learners to engage thoughtfully with contemporary social issues.
