Overview

The Sports Analytics specialisation enables students to add to their knowledge in athlete monitoring, strength and conditioning, and understanding the relationships between fatigue, adaptation, performance and injury developed through the Master of High Performance Sport degree. A series of units directly relating to the field of Sports Analytics will expose students to programming languages (i.e., Python and R) and ensure students are able to describe, understand, design and evaluate relevant concepts relating to sports analytics, data science and technologies to suit the sports industry.

The Sports Analytics Specialisation consists of 60cp:

  • 40cp of Sports Analytics Specialisation Units (Part A)
  • 20cp of Sports Analytics Project Units (Part B)

  • EXSC656Minor Project20 CP

    The Topic selected for EXSC656 Minor Project must be a Sports Analytics related topic.

  • EXSC657Industry Internship20 CP

    The Placement arranged for EXSC657 Industry Internship must be in a Sports Analytics related field.
