Overview

Explore primary health care, growth and development and care of the hospitalised child. In the child and adolescent specialisation you will explore common medical, surgical and developmental issues in children whose ages range from birth to 18 years.

You will explore integral developmental anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics within the context of child and adolescent care. Modules will cover topics such as common respiratory conditions including asthma, croup, bronchiolitis, and cystic fibrosis, and child and adolescent respiratory and cardiac care requirements.

In addition, a broad range of common paediatric health implications and paediatric mental health issues will be explored.
