This specialisation suits students who wish to work in the fields of religious education, catechetics, ordained or lay ministry, Christian youth work and chaplaincy. Units offered in this stream provide students the opportunity to develop critical skills and knowledge in reading and interpreting the bible in its original historical contexts and applying that expertise to their professional practice in Catholic and Christian organisations.

  • THBS500A Synoptic Gospel10 CP
  • THBS501Biblical Studies10 CP

    THBS501 Biblical Studies is a required foundation unit for this specialisation.

  • THCT503The Early Christian World10 CP
  • THEL510Introductory Biblical Hebrew A10 CP

    A student, having successfully completed THEL510 Introductory Biblical Hebrew A, may include THEL645 Introductory Biblical Hebrew B in this specialisation.

  • THEL505New Testament Greek A10 CP

    A student, having successfully completed THEL505 New Testament Greek A, may include THEL626 New Testament Greek B in this specialisation.

  • THBS503Directed Study in Biblical Studies10 CP
