Overview

The Medieval and Early Modern Studies minor explores the rich cultural, political, intellectual, and religious developments that shaped Europe and the broader world from late antiquity to the Enlightenment. Through an interdisciplinary approach that draws on history, literature, philosophy, and theology, students will examine key texts, events, and movements that continue to influence contemporary society. This minor develops critical thinking, research, and analytical skills, and is ideal for students interested in the foundations of Western civilisation and the enduring legacies of the medieval and early modern periods.
