APTT year-end celebrations

The All Points to Teaching (APTT) program concluded the academic year with a series of vibrant events at ACU’s Brisbane and North Sydney campuses. These celebrations brought together current students, the incoming 2026 cohort, partners and stakeholders in a dynamic hybrid format, ensuring that everyone including regional participants, experienced the sense of belonging and purpose that makes APTT truly unique.

Each campus brought people together to connect, reflect and celebrate. Educators, both new and experienced, shared their stories, successes, and hopes for the future, inspiring thoughtful conversations and strengthened enthusiasm.

Brisbane hosted a lively panel discussion on ‘Teaching for Tomorrow: Navigating Complexity and Change’, which brought together diverse voices from the teaching profession. The panel featured ACU’s National Head of School and Education Professor Donna King, educational consultant and author Andrew Oberthur and secondary school teacher Renata Hasell. Both novice and veteran educators contributed their perspectives, openly discussing their experiences, challenges and aspirations for the future.

In Sydney, APTT Academic Lead Doctor Rebecca Pagano, and ACU’s Head of School of Education NSW Professor Christina Curry set the stage for the event before Professor Johnmarshall Reeves led a thought-provoking seminar. As an internationally recognised authority on autonomy-supportive teaching, Professor Reeves's presentation fostered insightful discussions and established a solid framework for the Autonomy Supportive Practice short course, which is a key component of the APTT program. The event concluded with a heartfelt acknowledgment of Dr Pagano’s leadership and her pivotal contributions to the initiative’s ongoing success.

These gatherings were more than just year-end celebrations – they welcomed new members and reaffirmed the strength, spirit and shared commitment of the APTT community towards shaping the future of education.
