New ILSTE book provides research and practice framework for senior high school science

Professor Len Unsworth from ACU’s Institute for Learning Science and Teacher Education led a team of colleagues from ACU, Deakin and the University of South Australia to produce a new book dealing with research and practice.

The book, Multimodal Literacy in School Science  establishes a new theoretical and practical framework for multimodal disciplinary literacy for subject-specific science pedagogies of senior high school biology, chemistry and physics.

The framework was derived from an Australian Research Council Linkage Project partnering with four secondary schools in Melbourne - Multiliteracies for addressing disadvantage in senior school science.

It is available as a free, open access e-book download from Routledge.
