About

Corey White grew up in the Queensland out-of-home care system and later built a career as a comedian, writer and social commentator. His award-winning stand-up comedy show The Cane Toad Effect toured across Australia and the UK, earning praise for its pathos and honesty. He went on to create Corey White’s Roadmap to Paradise for the ABC in 2018, exploring social issues with interviews, sketches and comedic monologues. In 2019, Penguin published his memoir The Prettiest Horse in the Glue Factory. Corey is now studying a Bachelor of Public Health with the aim of joining policy and research efforts that build more effective and community-anchored systems of care.
