As parishes across Australia are contemplating the introduction or reintroduction of the chalice, the ACU Centre for Liturgy, in partnership with the Archdiocese of Melbourne, is offering two free in-person refresher sessions on Ministering the Chalice for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion so that they can be well-prepared and ready for changes in ministry. These workshops will not offer full training for new ministers but may be of interest to those considering volunteering for training in this very important ministry.

Each session:
In the lead-up to the workshop, advice will be provided for parish-wide catechesis to prepare the community for the introduction or reintroduction of the chalice.
Engagement with the local community is a key feature of this program, and participants from parishes, schools and Church organisations are nominated by their parish priest as the first step in the registration process, using the online form below to submit nominations directly, or by completing the Permission Form for Ministering the Chalice nominations which can be downloaded here.
