Dr Mitch Mooney

Dr Mitch Mooney is the National Performance Analyst at Netball Australia and is a member of the medical and sport science advisory group for Commonwealth Games Australia. Dr Mooney is a Level 2 ESSA accredited sports scientist, specialising in performance analysis. He has peer-reviewed publications on topics such as conceptual understanding of performance and consequences to interpretation, the impact of physical capacity and fatigue on performance.

Dr Mooney is part of the expert team that developed the course content for the Graduate Certificate in Performance Analysis at ACU. He is also the lecturer in charge of the Theoretical Foundations of Performance Analysis unit. He has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the role performance analysis plays in elite sport having worked with the Australia Institute of Sport for seven years and the Australian Netball team since 2013.
