The School of Allied Health is committed to creating programs that meet the needs of our community. Our students undertake rigorous community engagements and practical placements, alongside theoretical units critical to their studies, to provide them with the building blocks for success and the ability to contribute towards flourishing communities.

We develop and nurture valuable connections with a range of partners and industry groups which provide the important scaffolding that holds everything together. These strong partnerships provide a diverse range of placement and community engagement opportunities, and ensure that our students complete their degrees with deep, valuable connections, and expansive and critical on-the-job experiences.

Many of our courses have a work-integrated learning component which allows you to apply your skills in the real world, either with professional experience with some of our partner organisatioss, or in our own health clinics. Speech pathology students undertake placements from their first year, including a simulation experience, two school based placements and one placement with adult clients. We have more than 500 speech pathology partner organisations across the country, which include:

Physiotherapy students undertake clinical placements from their first year. We have more than 1,000 physiotherapy partner organisations across the country, which include:
