Our professional learning programs are designed to set you up for a long, successful career in education.
Teachers at all stages of their career benefit from having the guidance of a mentor, someone who can share the benefit of their own experience and expertise. Building strong mentor relationships are an investment in the future.
We’re committed to running professional development sessions to help mentors develop strategies to maximise the partnerships they have with their mentees.
This program is designed for registered teachers who’ve done fewer than 200 days of teaching in classrooms in the past 5 years. There are a number of reasons why you may have to take time away from the classroom, but Return to Teaching in Schools gives you a pathway back to accreditation.
TeachMeet Forums are held twice a year and give our teacher education students the chance to meet representatives from primary and secondary schools, and to network with future employers.
Over a space of two weeks, the students meet with prospective employers to gain critical insights into the expectations schools have for new teachers.
Share the Spark is a series of professional learning workshops designed by academics from the School of Education on our Brisbane Campus. The aim is to help primary- and middle-years teachers develop and implement technology curriculum for their classrooms.
