This lecture, presented by Matthew Crawford, Program Director of Biblical and Early Christian Studies at the Institute for Religion and Critical Inquiry, will examine the works of the former Lutheran pastor Kurt Eggers (1906-1943) who repurposed Julian’s anti-Christian arguments for the cause of National Socialism and published a German translation of the treatise in 1941 that was praised by none other than the Fuhrer himself.
