Australian healthcare is undergoing a major digital transformation. New technologies are changing healthcare funding, delivery and practice, creating demand for a digitally equipped workforce. This means we must embed digital capabilities, knowledge and confidence into health education and training. However, many healthcare professionals are expected to use digital technologies without having been properly prepared.

In this lecture, three experts will provide insights into the challenge of building digital health capability in the healthcare workforce. They will share insights on the needs of today's workforce as well as the skills required for future healthcare professionals. Drawing on world-leading research and innovation, the discussion will outline a clear vision for a more digitally capable workforce and a healthcare system supported by digital technologies.
