In the Master of Dietetic Practice you will study a combination of theory and practice placement across dietetic practice areas, including food and nutrition counselling with individuals, food and nutrition education and capacity building with groups, public health nutrition, food production and provision to individuals, communities and populations, entrepreneurial dietetic practice and management, and research.
You will undertake more than 130 days of placement across practice areas. Graduates are eligible to become Accredited Practicing Dietitians following accreditation of the program with Dietitians Australia. ACU is currently engaged in the preliminary stages of accreditation with Dietitians Australia.
The Graduate Certificate in Culinary Nutrition Science is designed for practitioners and graduates across the nutrition, dietetics, health, education and the culinary arts industries. You will study two units in culinary nutrition science, which are offered as micro-credentials, allowing for staged completion of the certificate and providing flexibility to meet the needs of busy professionals. You can then choose an additional two units to make up your graduate certificate. Continuing professional development (CPD) is compulsory for practicing nutritionists and dietitians and other professionals, so if you are looking for opportunities to develop contemporary skills to help you open broader career pathways, and at the same time meet your CPD goal, this course is for you.
Join Associate Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Sharon Croxford, and Emma Stirling, Culinary Nutrition Science Practice Lead, as they take you through the Master of Dietetic Practice and the Graduate Certificate in Culinary Nutrition Science and explain how these courses can help you meet your professional goals.
