Stuart Parker has been at the Australian Catholic University for 12 years and in that time, he has worked as Lecturer in Charge and teacher in such programs as English for Academic Purposes, Communication Skills and IELTS Preparation. For the past six he has also worked as an academic manager. One of the highlights during this time has been the opportunity to teach Burmese tertiary students on the Thai-Myanmar border region. Prior to his time at ACU, he had been working as an English language teacher in universities, high schools and companies in Japan and Thailand. His final position in Japan involved teaching managers in some of Japan’s largest companies, including Toyota, Honda, All Nippon Airways, and NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation).
