Savannah Pride is a sport for development-based organisation that aims to skill, educate and mentor youth through Basketball in Western Sydney.
Savannah Pride provides well-rounded development for boys and girls with basketball programs, education programs, homework support and cultural guidance. The men and women that make up Savannah pride have created a reassurance in their community, working alongside the youth, their families, their schools and local police.
Savannah Pride runs a homework support program 3 times per week at PCYC Mount Druitt. Students support kids with assessments and general subject homework or study work. Students in Year 7 – 8 may need literacy and numeracy support during scheduled session.
Students may also help with study plan and organisation, as some of these young people are in the elite basketball pathway program and are time poor due to extra basketball training and games.
