The role

High-Support Learning Centres

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with additional needs. Three purpose-built High Support Learning Centres—Kirinari (Llandilo), Wiyanga (Dundas), and St Luke’s Arrunga (Marsden Park)—offer specialised education for students with moderate intellectual disabilities, low adaptive functioning, and high support needs. These centres provide personalised, engaging programs that recognise each student’s unique abilities, learning pace, and interests, building their confidence, independence, and sense of belonging. Students will play a valuable role in supporting high-needs learners by assisting with reading, small group activities, and individual skill development in areas such as numeracy and focus tasks. Under the guidance of the head teacher, they will also provide general classroom support, including craft, sport, and library activities, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Sports Carnivals

For students with who have a strong interest in playing/officiating in sport. Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) offers a wide range of sporting opportunities to support student development, wellbeing, and teamwork. Student volunteers play a vital role in supporting CSPD sport by assisting as referees at gala days, organising students for representative sport on Thursday afternoons, and helping with PDHPE and school-based sport programs. Their contributions ensure the smooth running of sporting events, providing students with well-structured opportunities to develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. By supporting both school-level and representative sport, volunteers help create an inclusive and engaging environment where students can participate confidently and reach their potential. This hands-on experience also allows volunteers to develop leadership, communication, and event management skills while fostering a strong school sporting culture.
