Topic: The Role of Market Research in Decision Making: How marketing research can help your organisation achieve their strategic objectives.
Dr. Judy Rex is a Senior Lecturer in The Faculty of Law and Business at ACU. She has taught at Universities in Australia, Vietnam and Malaysia, specializing in marketing research, consumer behaviour, data analysis and modelling, marketing metrics, planning and strategy. Before becoming a full time academic Judy worked in marketing research, advertising and strategic marketing organizations both in Australia and overseas. Her clients included FMCG companies, new startups, government, and not for profit organisations. Her current research interests focus on marketing sustainable goods and services, and sustainable retrofits of apartment buildings.
In recent years, Judy has been involved in many consulting and research projects with topics as diverse as modelling consumer behaviour (including structural equation modelling and factor analysis), optimising bundled packages (conjoint analysis), developing marketing strategies and plans, and managing behaviour change. The clients have come from the following industries: electricity, water, food and wine; supported employment; as well as government departments that are interested in sustainable initiatives related to housing and the law.
