Professor Andrew O'Neil

Executive Dean of Law and Business
Associate Dean Research (Acting)

Andrew is Professor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Law and Business and Associate Dean Research (Acting) at the Australian Catholic University. Before taking up this role in January 2023, he was Acting Dean of the Graduate Research School and Professor of Political Science at Griffith University. From April 2016 to October 2021, Andrew was Dean (Research) in the Griffith Business School. Prior to this, he was Head of the School of Government and International Relations (2014-2016) and Director of the Griffith Asia Institute (2010-2014). Before entering academia, and immediately after finishing his PhD, Andrew worked as a Commonwealth public servant for Australia's Department of Defence. Working in teams, Andrew has received ARC Discovery and Linkage Project funding, as well as competitive industry funding from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Japan Foundation, and the Department of Defence. Between 2020-22, Andrew was a member of the Australian Research Council's College of Experts. He is currently an Associate Investigator on the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW).

Susan Dann

Professor Susan Dann AM PFHEA

National Head, Peter Faber Business School

Professor Dann has held prior academic appointments at Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University and the University of Queensland. A former State President and National Deputy President of the Australian Marketing Institute, Professor Dann's expertise and research interest is in the strategic application of marketing to non-commercial organisations with a specific interest in social marketing. In 2018 she was made a Member (AM) in the Order of Australia - ‘For significant service to business education through commercial marketing techniques to deliver positive social outcomes’.

Professor Patrick Keyzer

Dean of the Thomas More Law School

Professor Patrick Keyzer is the Dean of the Thomas More Law School A barrister specialising in constitutional law and human rights, Professor Keyzer has appeared as counsel in most of Australia’s superior courts, including the High Court. He has also led communications to the United Nations Human Rights Committee and maintains an active international human rights practice. Patrick was President of the Australasian Law Teachers Association in 2015-6 and has previously served in senior roles in three other Australian law schools.

Dr. Bhavani Sridharan

Associate Professor Bhavani Sridharan

Head of Learning and Teaching, Governance and Accreditation

Dr. Bhavani Sridharan has extensive transnational experience in working with many higher education business faculties, including Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), Massey University (New Zealand), Monash University and Deakin University. A former CRADLE (The Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning, Deakin University) scholar, Dr. Sridharan’s research interests are in assuring graduate capabilities, analytics, assessment, feedback, student engagement and retention, and quality in higher education.

Professor Joy Parkinson

Associate Dean (Research and Enterprise), Faculty of Law and Business

Before joining ACU in July 2023, Joy was a Principal Research Scientist with CSIRO in the Australian eHealth Research Centre and previously was Research Director of Social Marketing @ Griffith, Griffith University, the world's largest academic social marketing centre. Joy has led large industry funded research and evaluation projects with partners including Queensland Health, Diabetes Queensland, Stroke Foundation, and Western Queensland PHN. Behaviour change programs Joy has developed have directly engaged over 200, 000 participants resulting in improved health behaviours and quality of life. Joy serves as the Editor-in-Chief for Health Marketing Quarterly and has been a member of the Australian Association of Social Marketing Management Committee from 2014 serving as vice president between 2021 and 2023.
