CPA Australia and The Career Development Service hosted “Accountants Uncovered”
CPA Australia and The Career Development Service hosted the “Accountants Uncovered” networking event on Thursday 15th August in Tenison Woods House, North Sydney Campus. With over 45 Business students attending, the CPA Student Ambassadors did a fantastic job to promote and host this event. The 2 guest speakers were both ACU Alumni working as Chartered Professional Accountants. Mr Edmond Lesui (ACU Alumni 2012) showcased his career as a Managerial Accountant and provided some great tips on how to transition into full time Accounting practice, along with a few great rugby tips!
Students also had the pleasure of meeting Mr Andrew Crawford, a CPA senior executive and experienced Director across a range of Financial services and not for profit organisations. CPA Australia Business Development Manager Kim Hwang was delighted with student insights and questions regarding the CPA Programs and also thought the ACU/CPA branded cupcakes were a hit.
Thank you to the Student Ambassador, Pramej Shrestha for organising the event with his team and also to Peta Brideson from the Business Faculty for their contributions. CPA Australia is keen to engage more CPA Student Ambassadors to promote these on campus events and to gain valuable leadership experience.
