ACU have received notification from the Australian Government of the outcome of its 2015 AsiaBound, ISEP/ECKSEP and STMP project submissions. ACU received funding offers totalling $383,500. School of Business Lecturer, Sr Dr Thuy-Linh Nguyen was part of the ACU submission and received $21,500 Funding Offers towards student subsidies attending English Camp in Vietnam.
The Project involves students from the ACU School of Business voluntarily helping a group of Vietnamese students of the Salesians of Don Bosco, a large International Religious and Educational Institute. This will be done through formal and informal lessons, exciting activities such as games, songs, movies, picnics and outings. The ACU students will be immersed in the Vietnamese culture and participate in other youthful camp activities during their stay. The Partner Institute will provide accommodation, food, and transportation to and from the airport. They will also prepare the lesson plan, teaching materials, and other activity programs. Students participating in this Project will have fulfilled one of their compulsory units, “Professional Experience A”, of their study program.
We congratulate Sr Dr Nguyen for this excellent outcome that will make a real contribution towards the school’s internationalisation strategy, especially with regard to community engagement.
