Understand financial instruments, institutions, markets and systems. Study finance to learn the fundamentals of financial management and decision-making – including in times of uncertainty – and how to apply this expertise to sectors such as banking, consulting, planning, fund management, merchant banking, treasury or the sharemarket. Along the way, your experience will be enhanced by our small class sizes, and you’ll form close ties to your lecturers and tutors. After graduating, you’ll be prepared for financial management roles in private enterprise, government, the not-for-profit sector and trans-national corporations.
"ACU has a smaller community than my previous university, where you are very easily lost in the crowd. I believe there is a greater appreciation for student contributions at ACU.
"I completed my community engagement in Vietnam during the mid-year break, teaching English to Seminarians of the Salesian Brothers of Don Bosco. It was an eye-opening experience, learning about the Brother’s vocation and dedication to their faith. I would love to return there and teach again in the future.
"My goal is to get a graduate position in one of the big four accounting firms specialising in auditing and assurance, eventually extending my skill set towards consultations with clients. In the future, I would like to take on further studies to eventually earn myself a CA accreditation and work overseas."
