Theology and Philosophy
There are two Philosophy Research Centres based within the Faculty's Institute for Religion and Critical Enquiry
- Centre for the Philosophy and Phenomenology of Religion explores all aspects of religious philosophy, with an emphasis on 20th century and contemporary German and French phenomenological thought
- Centre for Moral Philosophy and Applied Ethics focuses on questions concerning the origins and nature of moral value and theoretical frameworks for the discernment of this value.
The School of Philosophy also supports the work of the Plunkett Centre for Ethics in Health Care, which focuses on ethics in clinical practice and biomedical research.
