ACU chosen to host Centenary Philosophy Conference

Australian Catholic University has been selected to host the Australasian Association of Philosophy (AAP) Conference in 2023, when the Association celebrates its Centenary.

The Conference will be the keynote event for the Centenary celebrations, with the theme Celebrating Australasian Philosophy: Bridging the Past, Present, and Future.

The Conference will be held on ACU’s Melbourne campus in late 2023.

AAP CEO Stuart Brock said he was delighted ACU would be hosting the conference.

“The ACU campus is in the heart of Melbourne, with facilities capable of accommodating a large number of delegates as well as being in close proximity to some of Australia’s best restaurants, cafes and bars. I am hoping that by 2023 the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic will be over and that it will be safe enough for us all to come together to mark the occasion, to enjoy one another’s company and to engage in philosophical conversation in person.”

For those can’t make it, the Conference will have the capacity and ability to give a quality online experience for those who want to join in from around the globe.
