Ella Russell graduated with a Bachelor of Human Resource Management. Ella started at ACU straight after she finished year 12 and originally thought she wanted to be a teacher, so she began a Bachelor of Education (Primary). Ella explains, “When I was three semesters into my course I decided it wasn't for me. I worked full-time for one semester while I was working out what I wanted to do. I went and spoke to the counsellor at ACU and we figured out Human Resources would be a good occupation for me and I have never looked back.
"I chose ACU because it seemed like such a great university. A lady came to my school and spoke about ACU and I instantly knew it was where I wanted to go. I went to the open night when I was in year 12 with my dad and the atmosphere was fantastic. I was really excited that the classes were smaller and the idea that the lectures would know who I was. I also liked the fact that the parking is free and it is close to home.
"My experience at ACU was amazing, I honestly don't think there is a uni as good as ACU! I recommend ACU to everyone I speak to that is thinking of going to uni. I loved all of my lecturers and tutors, they took the time to get to know every student and really invested in their learning and development. A great thing about the lecturers and tutors is that they all had real world knowledge and had worked in their specific teaching industries. I found this helpful as they gave examples of what they had encountered in their own working careers which helped us as students have a better understanding of the content. The heads of department were always approachable and happy to answer any questions as well."
