Before commencing the MBAe I studied the ACU Graduate Certificate in Management of Not-for-Profit Organisations. I found it very valuable as it concentrated on the four foundations of managing a successful business.

I chose ACU because I had first hand testimonials from the students who had studied at the University and as an employee, for me, that was gold. To hear other students talk so highly of their experiences made it a really easy decision for me to study at ACU, so that I too could have that same experience.

Initially I didn’t know what to expect as it was my first experience as a university student but I can say now confidently that I would not have wanted to study anywhere else. My experience has been amazing and one I will treasure for years to come. I have met friends for life through my studies at ACU.

Each lecturer and tutor has been very unique in their own style of teaching and I valued their industry experience throughout my studies as a real solid platform for learning new skills. I also found great value in the group work as we researched many organisations along the way, including my own workplace which I found enriching to say the least!

Whilst studying the MBAe I have been promoted to a senior consultant position within my team. I feel that the result of my learning has enabled me to progress through the organisation and apply the learnings almost on a daily basis.

I currently work as a Senior Consultant, Organisational Development at ACU Executive Education.

I am extremely passionate about the work that I currently do and I am excited to see what the next few years bring.

It’s good to explore all options available to you, as it is a massive commitment, but if I had any advice I would say choose a university where your values are aligned. I found this at ACU and wouldn’t have changed a thing! I'm already worried about what I will do with my time now that I am finished my studies. I have found that I want to keep learning. The MBAe has really opened my mind, I am able to think critically about everything I do both at work and in my personal life. The experience for me has been an amazing one.

I’m sure everyone has a similar answer…to the top wherever that may be. It may be that I stay in Australia or I may find an opportunity back in Ireland. That chapter for me has still to be decided.
