Field Placement Requirements

The Australian Catholic University complies with State and Federal Legislation in the provision of social work field experience to students. Most states require that a number of checks occur prior to placement. These include a criminal record check (National Police Check) and child and/or vulnerable persons' checks as well as other requirements such as occupational assessment, screening and vaccination against specified infectious diseases. Failure to satisfy these compulsory course requirements in relation to practical placements will prevent students from completing requirements for their degrees.
For specific details of the required compliance checks relevant to the campus in which are enrolled you are advised to email Please state in your request the campus you are inquiring about.
