The Bachelor of Applied Public Health / Bachelor of Global Studies is an innovative hands-on course designed to provide students with informed perspectives on international public health issues. The course is designed to provide students with informed, interdisciplinary global perspectives that will enhance their application of public health principles to address complex community and population level issues in Australia and around the world.
Students enrolling in the Bachelor of Applied Public Health/Bachelor of Global Studies are typically those with an interest in the health and well-being of communities, combined with an interest in one or more disciplines related to big picture issues such as the social, political, cultural, legal, environmental and economic changes that are shaping the world. Students will combine this knowledge with a semester of study abroad at one of over 60 partner institutions around the world. As an alternative to studying abroad, selected students may have the opportunity to do an approved internship which would provide international work experience.
